Fall Greetings Friends and Neighbors,
Do you love to look at pictures? Family Albums of photos that bring back fond memories? When I think of Trading Ford there are so many faces- ones from the past that are no longer with us. My how we miss those loved ones. New faces of folks that God brings into the fold. And in God’s album of Trading Ford there are those pictures of ones who were a part of our church family and have moved. They blessed us but then God had other plans. They are still dear in our hearts even if they are not with us when we meet on Sundays. One such dear couple is Roger and Maxine Steadman. They labored with us for years, but now Roger is in another place of service, pastoring New Covenant Baptist church in Kannapolis. It will be a joy to have them back with us as our special guests for homecoming November 3rd as Roger brings the morning message. Don’t forget to bring a well filled picnic basket for the meal afterward- God has blessed Trading Ford with some good cooks! Do your part not only to be here, but invite those former members to come home to Trading Ford for a Sunday. And as you keep praying and showing Christ’s love to your WHO’S YOUR ONE friend, we look forward to the new family members coming to our church that we have not met yet!
In closing let’s look ahead (Thanksgiving fellowship supper, Sunday night Nov. 17th); Punches concert (December 3rd); KY Missions trip (December 6th through 8th).
As you celebrate Thanksgiving this year, take time to really think about all that God has done for us, our family, our church. Even in the struggles God is always faithful. We truly have a lot to be thankful for. And by the way, I’m thankful for you!
