Please click here to read the guidelines TFBC will be following to reopen in-person services on May 31.

Weekly Devotion
Psalm 42:11 Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.

A downcast sheep was one that was so weighted down with wool and debris it couldn't get up by itself and the only thing it could do is CRY OUT for the shepherd and the shepherd would always be there to help it up.
When you get downcast ( weighted down with the troubles of life ) and you will, read the Shepherd's instruction Book and CRY OUT and He will and He must help you up. Read Psalm 23 and have a great week.!!!

Pastor's Note
Greetings dear church family,

I address you today with a great deal of gravity, and humility too. As I write I am thinking of God’s great blessings on Trading Ford as we celebrate 150 years as a church family. Way back in the Old Testament when the children of Israel were entering into the promised land God instructed them when they crossed the Jordan river to set up a pile of stones. The stones were put there to remember God’s blessing and provision that had attended their way in the past and to remind them that God was faithful to continue to meet their needs. Reminders- God gives us reminders for a reason. We humans so soon forget the past if we don’t intentionally make our self remember. Years ago, way back in 1870 Trading Ford Baptist church was planted in this community with the hope to be a gospel light shining in a dark world. That church knew the pain of sending its young off to wars knowing that some might not come back. They experienced droughts and floods, prosperity and economic depression. As the years passed our forebears clung to their Lord and his word and God continued to bless. There were births to celebrate, and funerals to mourn. Baptisms and weddings happened with people living life in a community of faith as God intended. Through it all God has been ever faithful. From kerosene lamps and wood stove for heat to our current place of worship, God has met with us and sustained us. He has and he yet will. But at this 150th year we pause to remember, and thank God for his blessings. What will the next coming years hold? God only knows, but if we stick with our mission of helping people find forgiveness and purpose through Jesus Christ- and if we refuse to turn inward and cling to the vision of reaching people, I believe that God will keep and preserve us until Christ returns.

To God Be The Glory,
Pastor Mike Motley
